Each month, I provide an in-depth answer to a common question asked by residents – topics cover everything from off-leash dog parks, to harbour remediation.

Council Highlights

ElizabethRoyCouncilMeeting

Council Highlights is published after every regular Whitby Council meeting and includes a snapshot of key decisions and discussions. This is part of my commitment to community engagement and transparency.

Talk Budget with Mayor Roy

TalkBudgetWithMayorRoy-Wlizabeth Roy

This is an opportunity for residents to chat with me in person about the upcoming year’s budget, including asking questions and sharing priorities.

Watch for the next round of Talk Budget with Mayor Roy dates coming up in Fall 2025.

Stakeholder Roundtables

Roundtable with Mayor Roy

I make it a priority to host regular roundtables with key community stakeholders, including local food banks, faith groups, and non-profit organizations. These gatherings provide a valuable opportunity to share information, collaborate, and work together on solutions to important issues facing our community.

Coffee with Mayor Roy

and Meet up with Mayor Roy

Coffee with Mayor

I launched Coffee with Mayor Roy in the summer of 2023 to create a friendly, informal space where I could connect directly with residents. Being accessible and approachable is incredibly important to me—and these casual conversations offer a great opportunity to hear your questions, feedback, and ideas.
In 2024 and 2025, I have continued to expand the initiative, including the introduction of Meet Up with Mayor Roy events.
Whether you have something on your mind or just want to say hello, I’d love to see you at a future event. Follow my social media accounts for upcoming dates and locations!
